What is this Buildathon about?

An entirely remote, virtual program designed to attract top technical talent, with a special focus on emerging markets, to build across Crypto x AI, DeFi, Stablecoins, and RWA Tokenization. Over the course of two weeks, participants will develop and refine their projects with the support of expert mentors, culminating in a final demo event.

We have a special interest in projects working in AI Agents, DeFi Stablecoins, and RWA Tokenization, but we are open to other Web3 verticals.

Program Overview

Take your idea from concept to MVP in 2 weeks. Through interactive sessions, hands-on development, and expert mentorship, participants will refine ideas, build technical solutions, and craft growth strategies. The program culminates in a final Demo Days at either ETHCC in Cannes and or Devconnect in Buenos Aires, where top teams will showcase their projects to industry experts, investors, and potential partners.

Q: Do I need to be an experienced blockchain developer?
A: While prior technical knowledge is recommended, we provide workshops, resources, and mentorship to guide participants in building their MVPs.

Q: Can I join if I’m already working on a Web3 project?
A: Absolutely! If your project aligns with the program goals, you can enhance it during the buildathon.

Q: Is this program open to global participants?
A: Yes, participants from anywhere in the world are welcome to join.

Buildathon Format

Q: How is the buildathon structured?
A: The program runs fully online, with workshops, mentoring, and collaborative sessions. The final Demo Day will be in person at a major web3 global conference.

Q: Can I participate individually or do I need a team?
A: You can join individually or with a team. We also facilitate team formation at the start of the program.

Q: What’s the time commitment?
A: We recommend active participation throughout the 2 weeks, especially during key workshops and mentoring sessions.

Q: What kind of projects are accepted?
A: We are looking projects focused on Payments, DeFi, AI & RWA.

Q: Do I need to build a finished product?
A: The goal is to deliver a functional MVP that demonstrates key features during the Demo Day pitch.

Q: Are there any specific tools or platforms we need to use?
A: No specific tools are required. We are agnostic to Web3 tools, so participants can choose the most suitable tech stack for their project.

A: Top teams will be given a travel and lodging stipend to present their projects.

A: Yes! Participants will have direct access to mentors, partners, and investors during the Demo Day and beyond.

Q: Will there be follow-up opportunities after Demo Day?
A: Yes. Outstanding projects will be considered for future partnerships, accelerator programs, and investment opportunities through our network.

Q: Do I retain ownership of the projects I develop during the Buildathon?
A: Yes, participants do retain ownership of their creations.

Q: Will participants get access to private repositories for their projects?
A: Yes! Each team will receive access to a private GitHub repository to securely collaborate, manage code, and track progress throughout the program.
