What is a Buildathon?
An entirely remote, virtual program seeking the most promising Web3 builders driving growth and inclusion globally with an emphasis on emerging markets. In just 2 weeks, we'll take you from idea to MVP, culminating in a hybrid demo day in a major web3 event.

Take your idea from concept to MVP in 2 weeks. Through interactive sessions, hands-on development, and expert mentorship, participants will refine ideas, build technical solutions, and craft growth strategies. The program culminates in a Hybrid Demo Day, where teams will showcase their projects to industry experts, investors, and potential partners.

Q: Do I need to be an experienced blockchain developer?
A: While prior technical knowledge is recommended, we provide workshops, resources, and mentorship to guide participants in building their MVPs.

Q: Can I join if I’m already working on a Web3 project?
A: Absolutely! If your project aligns with the program goals, you can enhance it during the buildathon.

Q: Is this program open to global participants?
A: Yes, participants from anywhere in the world are welcome to join.

Buildathon Format

Q: How is the buildathon structured?
A: The program runs fully online, with workshops, mentoring, and collaborative sessions. The final Demo Day will be a hybrid event at a major web3 event, both online and in person.

Q: Can I participate individually or do I need a team?
A: You can join individually or with a team. We also facilitate team formation at the start of the program.

Q: What’s the time commitment?
A: We recommend active participation throughout the 2 weeks, especially during key workshops and mentoring sessions.

Q: What kind of projects are accepted?
A: We encourage projects focused on Payments, DeFi, AI, and other technical solutions, but we are open to any Web3 vertical.

Q: Do I need to build a finished product?
A: The goal is to deliver a functional MVP that demonstrates key features during the Demo Day pitch.

Q: Are there any specific tools or platforms we need to use?
A: No specific tools are required. We are agnostic to Web3 tools, so participants can choose the most suitable tech stack for their project.

A: No. The Demo Day is hybrid, and you can pitch your MVP online or at the in-person event.

Q: Will there be follow-up opportunities after Demo Day?
A: Yes. Outstanding projects will be considered for future partnerships, accelerator programs, and investment opportunities through our network.

Q: Do I retain ownership of the projects I develop during the Buildathon?
A: Yes, participants do retain ownership of their creations.

Q: Will participants get access to private repositories for their projects?
A: Yes! Each team will receive access to a private GitHub repository to securely collaborate, manage code, and track progress throughout the program.
